Villa vs Burnley postponed as well. Only match going ahead today (for now…) is Leeds vs Arsenal.
Liverpool and Arsenal are 2 teams that would be harmed by the EPL taking a break in December. Arsenal seem have momentum and Liverpool needs to rack up the maximum amount of points before Salah leaves for AFCON.

We were the 3rd best team after Christmas last year. Our start to the season is way better this year by comparison, so yeah, canning it now would suck.

Fixture pileups for spurs and Utd is music to my ears.

Hopefully we can capitalize.

If there is a circuit breaker it should start on the 1st January and game calendar should resume around the 20th of January with all the postponed games played at the end of the season. Extending the season by a week or 2.

I think that gives Arsenal the best chance of making top 4. :p

Ouch!!

No "easy" games ...

May come down to who has the most AFCON/post crammed Christmas schedule injury absentees. Liverpool thankfully won’t have Salah or Mane available for either leg. But we’re also without Auba, Pepe and Partey.

Auba is a not so good lucky packet, right now, Pepe, not much better, but is showing sign of form. Partey is a bit more of an issue, less of a lucky packet than the other two.

A toss up.

Covid Murphy, must leave us alone, and **** the other teams for a change. And he must leave our little bit of "luck" alone, tho it be far from "blind" luck , but we need every little bit we can get.

The less said about the Ref's the better me thinks, to say nothing of VAR.

Liverpool might be psyched to win this trophy and regain their record as the single team with the most League Cup wins.

That could be, but City are on a roll, and in peak condition.

The dice, the dice and a bugger called Murphy, and his fickle Sister Fortune.
