So every Liverpool player, except for TAA, ruled out of the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi against Arsenal was a false positive. Well played, Koop, well played.

Not sure what the hoohaa is about? Is the narrative that he somehow manipulated the situation to avoid Arsenal?

Klopp's never been scared to select from the juveniles if necessary to field a team. More so for this Tupperware cup.

The QF match against a full strength Leicester, Liverpool commenced with 1 first-team regular on the pitch.

So ja, not sure what the issue is.

Apparently.

There need to be clear guidelines on how many player need to test positive to be able to request postponement. And which labs/tests are accepted.

This is not Liverpools fault, it's the PL

Poor Derby County.

They're in a world of finanical sh*t, sitt rock bottom of the Championship having been docked 21-points so far this season and guess who the possible saviour is? Mike Ashley...

Because it’s coming across as gamesmanship I guess - he had sufficient resources to field a side last Thursday, like he was able to this past weekend. He has been complaining about fixture congestion and the need for a winter break for ages (and also has his opinion on losing two of his best players to the AFCON) - it seems like the outbreak, now mostly false positives, was purely strategic.

Despite losing to City, Arsenal were in a seriously good vein of form and the first leg at Emirates could’ve/would’ve been better for us. After the Forest result, it’s all purely speculation at this point anyway, and we’re now going into Anfield on the back foot.

Perhaps in 15 years time he'll sell this club to another middle eastern despot

From the source you quoted. Two COVID tests, one by an independent laboratory. If I understand you, Klopp possibly manipulated these processes to defer playing Arsenal in a Caroabo cup?

I would be very surprised if true. Klopp wouldn't have a problem sending under 8s for that cup.

According to sources, Liverpool underwent at least two rounds of testing prior to the postponement.

The first round, involving the use of lateral flow device (LFD) tests, highlighted a number of positive cases.

The second round, involving the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests carried out by an independent laboratory, also highlighted a number of positive cases.
