I don't know where I am on this, and I don't think my opinion matters much, but looking at people's posting history, especially those that are now all for stopping the league at 28/29 games.
There used to be posts from those individuals that would reference
(1) tough run of fixtures coming up
(2) we'll get them in the return fixture at home
(3) tough start to the season starting with Liverpool/United/Chelsea/City/Arsenal .... compared to y starting against Watford/Brighton etc ...
(4) Home stadium is a fortress this season
(5) away form is crap this year
They now say it is "fair" to stop the league at an arbitrary point of 28/29 games and that is hypocritical, when all home and away games haven't been played.
Like I said, I don't know where I stand, but I know there is no "deserve" and "fair" in sport. Sport is one of the great zero sum games, there is often one winner but a lot of losers. Its not binary, but it is zero sum.

Plus the slips here and there....
Eight months since our sixth Champions League win, six months since our Super Cup win and two months since we won the Club World Cup.
But I guess recent history isn’t pertinent.
Premier league history is pertinent...
He won't understand what that is. He's never seen anything so magnificent in his lifeSo is 29/27/1/1.
I'm guessing you want me to ask what this means![]()

All I want to say is that you guys need to make peace with the fact that somehow, somewhere, you royally pissed off some footballing gods because this stuff is almost unreal.
38/26/12/0 not as easy as everyone tried to make out it seemsPlayed 29, drew 1 and lost to the mighty Watford.
Exactly. The biggest debate of them all is money. In which case case granting things now before the conclusion will always be contentious. What also needs to be taken into account, is the financial impact for the teams that will be relegated. If league results are determined based on current points, then it's not just about Liverpool being awarded the title - it's about Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Norwich who will be relegated. This means they will lose 10's of millions of pounds.
So, unless the rules of the EPL clearly allow for such an event, expect a bit of legal action...

LOL.
Well, you see Splinter, 29/27/1/1 means played 29 games, won 27 of those games played, drew 1 of them and lost 1 of them.
Folk with thick glasses and pocket protectors keep track of those results weekly, in a spreadsheet football fans call a "table".

Talk that the season will be made null and void, so no winners and nobody relegatedWhat happens if the league is not completed ? Relegation has a massive financial impact so does the Champions League
