I dunno what you are saying but I'm assuming it's something along the lines of getting hot and sweaty for the Dutchman?

:p

Those stats in the screenshot didn't show on the field in recent times. I thought Mustafi was ****.

LOL.

Easy way to resolve this... Would you rather have Virg or Mustafi as the gunner's CB?

From a data science perspective, obviously the real value lies in the guy with the most clearances. That's the critical indicator.

Then again, its easier to "perform" in statistical terms when others around you are ****. This is like saying a goalkeeper that makes 50 saves in a game is 10 times better than a goalkeeper that makes 5.

Who knows what would happen if van dijk played for Arsenal, or Mustafi played for Liverpool. I think they should swap for a year. For science.

The only things I don't like about Virg is that he plays for Liverpool and his face.

That's too bad.

I mean you'll have to look at it for 90 minutes tomorrow, but if you can't bear it, I'll just let you know what happens here then.

Ummm no. What matters is how many goals you concede.

So La Liga says Messi release clause is still active. Noone gonna pay that for a player, let alone a player his age.

Messi yas decided not to do the Covid test as per requirement of La Liga? So he won't be able to play anyway.

Looks like the beginning of a standoff. Real Madrid must be ecstatic at this sequence of events.

Messi must just retire. Not really sure what his problem is. He's well paid but Barca have been buying unwisely. They've got defensive issues and have over the years gotten rid of their most capable defensive players. Players still at their prime.

That La Liga ruling has a solid dose of self-interest in it...he's still a draw card for them and they would want to hold onto their golden goose as long as possible.

Having said that, he signed the contract so he should play or work something out with the club without resorting to being unprofessional.

As far as I understand he believes he is in his rights to leave the club because of the date of the UEFA finals, but club/La Liga says the date is the original date.

But I could be wrong. Read it with one eye open. Not even sure if it was a legit source.

I think the contract only had a June date in it to correspond with the end of the season i.e. he could leave before the start of the new season. But the season got extended due to COVID and the contract had the old date for the end of the season.

So yeah, technically the clause elapsed but I'm pretty sure a higher court would rule in his favour - the spirit of the release clause is not being honoured by Barca \ La Liga. I still think he should be doing what the other players are doing (getting tested, training etc.) while his lawyers sort it out. But then I think in terms of everyday kind of employment where not doing your job reflects badly on you - he's Lionel Messi so it probably doesn't work the same way.

He is both the best and worst thing in La Liga for me. You love to see him play but the way commentators get wet for him is nauseating. He can do no wrong.

I'm actually keen on Messi coming to the EPL JUST to put the "but can he do it on a cold, Tuesday night in -insert hard-core northern, physical team with a **** ground-?" meme to the test. You're not playing Getafe anymore, boy!

This is why I consider Ronaldo to be the GOAT, and not Messi.

Messi's stats are unreal. But all mostly done in his safe pond. Ronaldo has done more, on different stages, than Messi.

And lets not forget that Messi, who is younger than Ronaldo, one had a 4-1 lead over Ronaldo when it came to the Ballon dÖr
