Here's what I don't understand....the Swiss played poorly the first part of the game and towards the end of first half much better. Second half was more or less the same throughout with both teams not really creating too many chances.

The moment Argentina scored with a few minutes left.....all of a sudden the Swiss went crazy and they almost scored twice. They suddenly felt the closeness of a lost....and profoundly picked up their game

If they played the rest of the game like the last 3 minutes they would've beaten Argentina 3-1

I honestly was not expecting any different. Same story with Algeria and Nigeria.

Argentina 22 shots at goal, Swiss 9 shots at goal. (110 mins in)

Argentina attack, Swiss kill the ball. Same story with Nigeria/Algeria.

You can't defend for 130 minutes, it's just not going to happen and even if you do, then what? You haven't won... You're clinging onto penalty shootouts then and if you need that to win, you aren't going to make it far in this World Cup.

Was all or nothing right at the end. They had no choice. No team can attack for the full 90 minutes.

I dont like Argentina, them and Brazil out next round hopefully.

Let's hope.

Say the three biggest American sports (American football, Baseball and Basketball) didn't exist ... and say that Americans, just like the rest of the world focussed most of their attention on football (soccer), do you think that African-Americans would also be as dominant in football (across the world) as they are in the other American sports?

Just a question of time and USA will be no.1 in the world....they have the pool to choose from, they have the winning culture instilled in them, and they'll get the money to throw at the development of the sport

That Origi laaitie is a faking star in the making. Very raw, but looks like a Zidane.

On his way to pool, good signing.
