We're talking about a player that has managed to shine for a Liverpool side pre-2013/14 where he was one of two, maybe three quality players.

Suarez is a one man wrecking crew, that much is clear.

Not as a holding midfielder, but as a deep lying midfielder. Liverpool's propensity to concede goals is testament to that.

He's never been good at the defensive side of the game, and it was made more evident by only playing him alongside one other midfielder, instead of the usual three man midfield that he shines in.

However, he isn't solely to blame. While there was a lot of potential, England need a coach that can built a team out of that talent. Roy hasn't a clue.

That's the problem. He has a clue about the personnel for the most part, but doesn't know what to do with them.

Lampard would have started next to Gerrard, Rio and Joe Cole would have played.

Don't forget Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch up front.

England in all honesty needs someone young like Roberto Martinez or Brendan Rodgers.

That they do, but someone from their own country would be nice. This is where they fail their development structures massively.

so far I was right about Spain being knocked out in the 1st round, looking like I my other prediction of England getting knocked out in the 1st round is looking good. The other team I predicted to get knocked out in the 1st round is Portugal

England's team was good enough to qualify for the second round. They just have a kark coach. Sturridge was the main goal threat but somehow towards the end was out wide left. Right after they scored sturridge had that shot, the keeper parried into the box but no one from England was there. Now if you chasing the game wtf are you not pushing up.

Stevie is not a dm anymore. He doesn't have the legs for it anymore. Johnson and baines are kark at defending. I haven't watched allot of baines but he just looks average. Less said about the keeper the better. The cb's look average at this level as well. They will most likely stick with Roy though.

Woy was playing the wrong formation. England were brilliant in attack in the 1st game. when he decided to play a "name" things went wrong. Rooney is a club player and cannot step up to the big stage like Suarez. Woy was too scared to drop him. he scored a tap in goal and the English went on almost like they won the World Cup. what is it with people and this obsession with Rooney. Fergie got the best out of him and that was it.

Woy needs to go and make way for Harry

Which English player has stepped up to the big stage in the past decade, though? None.

But yes, Woy must leave.

Its not just Rooney, they have very few TOP TOP players at the moment, i would say Sturridge stood out and Sterling possibly next WC
