unfortunatly there is no real "classifieds" thread, so i decided that seeing as it is a "broadband" prodcut. I would post in General ADSL Discussions.

*sigh*

It doesnt mean we are not allowed to sell items, because i have seen a number of sales which have gone through on these forums.

I don't have a problem with him posting this. If I was buying something second hand, I'd much rather get it from a fellow forumite. Maybe if it becomes more of an occurance, we should get a classifieds section.

Cheers, Nick

Had you been in the market for something PostmanPot, I just bet you'd have no problem with it being advertised.

Yes I agree with having a section on classifieds...At least for those that cannot afford new we could look in and find the same product for less...As it has been said you at least buying from a forumite...I bought a D-Link modem on this forum...I never knew the person concerned and he never knew me...Agreement to pay in installments which meant the whole deal worked through TRUST(I got the product before first installment)....DEAL DONE!...AGAIN Good idea!...(HOPEFULLY.... As long as it's not just related to Telecomunication Apps) but whatever you want and have to sell ...MAYBE TWO SECTIONS...'WANTED GEAR' ...'SELLING GEAR'...You would definetly increase the traffic in MY ADSL...

We would have to, however, be careful about the issues of people not paying/delivering.. Something which I don't think the moderators want to have to deal with.

Simple solution: MyADSL can put a disclaimer saying that they're not liable for any fraudulent transactions.

Also I'd only sell the thing once the money is in my bank account rather than the other way round

Excactly, buy and sell at your own risk.

Think twice when a Nigerian guy with 1 post to his name wants to pay by cheque :D

I have sent a PM to PRM with regards to the "issue". I will wait for his reply and report back on his feelings.

Yes I do agree with "Buy and sell at your own risk'
Obviously When some stranger posts once and wants to buy you would have to think twice before letting any transactions go through...There again you would have to also consider if a stranger only wants to use the forum as a trading post...

If this ever takes place obviously it would have to be at your own risk if anything should go wrong i.e "Laying responsibilities onto the forum or it's members or any involvement whatsoever' The responsibility/Agreement lies between yourself and the buyer/seller...
