Doesn't satellite internet only allow downloading? You still need another connection to upload?

It is two way.

Believe me it is not a solution just for surfing and browsing.

It is not cheap +/- US$7.00 per MB, ZAR50.00+

When you realy are in the sticks and need connectivity you will invest in it.

It seems you are talking about VSAT. That is for networks p2p. You will need another piece of equipment on the other side.

The price is with bandwith excluded per unit per month.

The cheapest is Bgan. Satellite broadband connection to the internet.

Yes I am 110% sure it is per MB and only sold in packages of 200MB per month use it or loose it on contract for 12 months.

mmmmm

Vsat is a general term for a small transmitting (and recieving) satellite terminal.
They are considered small as the normal satellite transmitters are a good few meters

Vsat = Very small aperture terminal

By definition sentech wireless could be considered vsat, and they were not point to point. Companies like sentech use hub technology at the Groundstation and the vsat's link into there.

Yes one of the uses of vsat is p2p wan connections, but its not limited to that
