Forced to buy bandwidth?

Uh OH.....

Funniest thing just happened, I was nearing the end of my cap as I always do (bit slower this month for obvious reasons) when suddenly no pages would respond, with every link I clicked or address I typed in Firefox said "Document contains no data", well that sucked, so I was curious because this happened right near the end of my monthly 1mbit usage. So I decided to try the iBurst website, HEY it worked! Then I tried the iBurst heldesk website, HEY it worked!

So in my head I start thinking, OK so it looks like I've gone over my cap.... and no website OTHER than the WBS ones work..... So I figure I'll try buy 3Gb and not even recconect to see what happens (Kinda funny how the one website I need to use to buy more bandwidth is the only one that worked hey? :p )

I have a firefox extention called 'refresh every', it lets you reload a page every X seconds, so I set it to reload a myADSL page every second, switch back to the bandwidth usage page where I will purchase the bandwidth, and as I click that purchase button, and i mean AS i TAPPED THAT SUCKER IN, the internet starts working!!

So either this is an extremly freeky coincidence, an extremly unlikley spooky coincidence or WBS have gone and started the rumoured 'pay per byte' scheme without telling anyone and ending the throttled to 64k things.

I'm just telling you what happened, draw your own conclusions.

How much did you go over about ???

Did you try reconnecting to the iburst network b4 buying more bandwidth either your base station is faulty with the upgrade, didn't you try calling up the HelpDesk and telling them what the problem you are experiencing.. Last month the same thing happen to me i was over my cap and the last 4 days b4 the new month. I couldn't hardly go to like local website/international/msn/irc everything was dead but then I reconnected to the iBURST network... I could connect to the site for like 20seconds then forget it. The update that they did fixed up the problems I was having over at my base station. I'm capped atm. I can surf etc, but having issue opening some websites...

I've noticed that some site, don't open or just says waiting for Reply.
I try the iburst website and it always works find for me and shows up.
Either its network issue with than iBURST WBS/network or the base station Firmware upgrade/ is the ISSUE...

Just a thought!!

If they've have done this I'm really going to cancel up iburst. I rather support Hellkom, than Support WBS..

Well if thats the case than there is a case for the advertising commission. There is a difference between up to 64kbps connectivity and flat out NO refuse access connectivity.

FFS WBS is really fooking things up well eh?

Rich i'm not an idiot, so dont ask me stupid questions because the answer is no, trust me it wasnt my tower or whatever and it wasnt the website, you cant phone the helpdesk at 1AM and I already said I didn't disconnect, trust me, the connection was FINE, just draw your own conclusions, I know I have mine

but by not disconnecting and clicking the buy bandwidth button and suddenly everything works the exact second the order goes through, well I know what that says to me
