My wife and I are looking to get a second car ( No kids still in our mid-20s, never own a vehicle before). We are stuck between the 1.4 '2007 Fiesta 131000 (60k) and 1.4 2010 Figo 100000(67k). Will pay cash not finance.

Toyota etios 3dr was our first option but when we decide to have a child, this might be a problem.

but we are open to other options. We are looking for something that will be easy for us to maintain, comfortable, fuel-efficient, but most important, reliable.

Figo, but for that price you should be able to get a newer one than 2010, rather try for newest you can get, like 2014.

It's comfortable, the other day I did 4 hour drive with no body stiffness and I am in my 40s. Easy to maintain and my 9 year old one has been reliable, and the inside still looks very good. Has good ground clearance (more than the Fiesta) which would help depending on types of roads you drive. Driving at 110 on the highway it sips fuel pretty lightly.

EDIT: I realised it was the old Fiesta, so removed most comments of Fiesta as it is very similar to the Figo in most aspects.

Go for later model from a Ford dealer.
I bought in 2020 a 2016 , 90,000k, top condition for 80k.

Etios is pretty high up on the theft scale for example.
And let's not get started on how much garbage it actually is, the Figo is much better build quality, the previous Fiesta is even better since it was a proper Fiesta and not a something that was built cheaply for the Asian ad African markets.

If only you could find a mint condition 1.6 Fiesta of the same years. It's 95% the same car with minor cosmetic changes so as others have said, go for the newer car.
