Ford: I need to extend my factory warranty

Hey guys,

I'm sitting in a pretty kak situation.

I need to renew my factory warranty for my ST. However it expires 2 days before lockdown is lifted.

What in the actual **** am I supposed to do now?

Does anyone know if you can renew it online somehow?

Can still needs to be registered but the company I did it through is obviously closed as well.

Maybe they'll give a grace period seeing as the whole world is broken at the moment?

I am sure they just give you an grace period.

Dealerships never say no to money.

Can they permit that? Don't they need to adhere to the "global" ford policies? Or can they set their own?

What I would do is email your ford dealership, as well as HO in SA etc etc... requesting an extension to the factory warranty now...

Get it in writing that you're requesting it prior to it expiring. You may find someone responds.
Though looking on the ford site, their customer care lines are still up and running, so maybe contact them and see what your options are as well.

You would probably be able to get in contact with someone if you contacted Ford. Extended warranties are the bread and butter of sales and some salesman is working from his couch right now.
