A tacky-looking edition of the 2015 'Stang GT...

"For the eighth straight year, Ford Motor Company has created a unique, aviation-inspired Ford Mustang to benefit Experimental Aircraft Association youth education programs, including the Young Eagles.

The Mustang Apollo Edition will be donated and sold via auction at the Gathering of Eagles charity event at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015 - the World's Greatest Aviation Celebration."

Later this year is the best I've been able to find out. Quite keen on one, but the v8 will be out of budget :(

What's the price on the V8?

I'm guessing Ford SA are going to be greedy little piggy's, and sell the V8 at a massive premium versus the price in the US.

+1 It will have the "It is a Mustang tax" cause people worship the name for some reason

Don't forget our high import duty tax, and that silly "green tax" for emissions thrown into the mix, as well as logistic costs to get it here.

It is quite depressing when you see the US dollar price for a brand spanking new Mustang v8, compared to what we pay here.

Yeah average cars are usually almost twice the price here compared to the states. The Rand has seen its ass in the last while as well... but on top of that I am foreseeing a "Mustang" tax

If you know what the competitors are, which I doubt that there is any in South Africa, maybe a C class Mercedes coupe AMG which is R1mil and the V6 R600k. So the entry level V6 Mustang and V8 might be in that range. Just my speculation

Yeah, the V6 I think will be 500k or so, looking at what you get from BMW and the like for that sort of money, these days.
