All is fine until someone gets hurt. Fireworks cause hundreds of horrific injuries and deaths every single year to people and animals. They are a relic of a by-gone era and should be banned.

cause of fireworks this white guy became a racist right
don't try and stir with me. Racist comments and violence are equally not ok. The complex not informing him was also not OK. Thinking it was OK to let off who knows how many fireworks in a close residential area also not OK. Lots of stuff wrong here. And none of it is right.

Same with booze. It's an oddity, in that it both causes deaths and overpopulation

Judging from that video ,I don't know.

It had racial undertones but not direct racism.

That is for the SAHRC to decide and if taken further to be argued in the Equality Court, also if any case is actually opened.

Yea and Im not comfortable with this :

"Ramlall, who sits on the board of trustees, said the complex's residents had been informed via a letter dated October 25 that the Nest Clubhouse had been booked for a fireworks display for Diwali. "

Every unit in complex should have been handed a survey ticking yes or no.

The latest report from the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission found an estimated 8,700 fireworks-related injuries were treated in U.S. hospital emergency departments during the Independence Day period. There were an estimated 12,900 fireworks-related injuries for the year.

Just in the US!!

And this is what fireworks do:

That doesn't happen in my complex, or any other I've been in. We are informed of the event, and often the resident would message on WhatsApp apologising an advance for the noise

If they're guest from india then telling them to go home to india when they cause kak is probably not that bad either, it's like a benoni tappet chasing his brakpan guests when they cause kuk, fokof trug brakpan toe

Yeah but the procedure should change. Not everybody attends those meetings and this pretty much affects everyone in the complex. 1 survey per unit, yes or no and make a decision.

Banning them is stupid.

Just have a designated place where people can let them off in relative safety with the fire dept present.

The white dude in video alluded to that.

He said they should burn it in an area that they are allowed to.

I don't think this should be allowed in a complex. You are just asking for trouble.

No, it shouldn't. Some unit owners are total schitheads. And they should not be afforded the right to veto things, as they have no lives and get upset with anyone who does.

If we had these kind of rules, we would never have had fiber installed in our complex, or be able to book the pool for anything....because some dick would say no
