So how are our GP drivers, do you get upset with visiting cars with non GP plates?

NW numberplates are a clear signal that the operator does not have a clue how to drive. Seriously. GTFO the road.

i think i can speak for all the CX people.... we do not like people with gp number plates... they are irritating, they dont care about anyone, they push people off the roads, they drive like maniacs and always park either next to a parking bay or in the middle of two.

The ones that take 20 seconds to accelerate to their top speed of 45 km/h
If it's a twenty year old car, or a Toyota Tazz, or an Uno, I can understand... but a luxury car less than 5 years old?

Then the ones that are obviously lost, looking for an address, looking left and right. That's okay... but indicate before you decide to drift across the whole damn road. Or pick a lane, don't take up 2 while you try to decide if you want to go left or right.

Actually it's the GP drivers that do the above that piss me off more

You are not alone.

The weird thing however is up in their neck of the woods they are good motorists & friendly. Something however happens when they go on holiday and occurs round crossing Van Reenen's pass. They seem to forget the rules of the road, park anywhere they like, race their flashy cars, become rude. This extends beyond the road as well, shopping and restaurants you see more loud rude behaviour.

I'm not making this up, I like them up in GP land. Maybe it's the sea air or altitude that affects them.

I think that this chap might be referring to WP drivers:

I drove around with EC cape plates for a couple of years in Jozi.. no problems. Though Jozi drivers are maniacs at high speed. WP drivers are maniacs at slow speeds.

i heart my limpopo plates. it seems people with gp plates haven't yet grasped the concept that during peak traffic, the left most lane often moves faster than the "fast" lane

GP drivers can't drive on their own highways...joh! The amount of times I see people just blindingly change lanes without checking who's next to them is AMAZING...guess you guys can't concentrate in that lovely traffic of yours

Im in Manila atm... they dont have robots or traffic signs in 98% of the city.. you wanna see chaos.. zomg! Its like your stampede but 24/7.

You must see the chaos that happens when someone in the far right lane (they drive on the right hand side of the road).. does a u-turn in a road here called Commonwealth Road (it has 5 lanes on the right and 5 lanes on the left)... its epic!

That is because it's characters like you that block the left lane, and therefore prevent slower moving traffic from moving into it!

I have seen that happen more than once, most people go racing up the left lane, while a slow moving car or truck, who shouldn't really be there in the first place, is trying to move into the left lane.

It is like a free-for-all, but surprisingly no accidents that I saw. I suppose if everyone is driving like a psychopathic taxi driver on durban poison, this helps.

err, no, i go to the left lane because it is empty half the time
if what you say is true then after i pass them, they should then safely move into the left lane, right? well, they don't. and not because there are cars behind me because there are no cars behind me. you must be one of those fast lane hoggers

i have done some research on this and it turns out people believe that the left lane causes cancer. go figure :D
