Formatting my hard drive to install Mandriva

Hi

I wana format my hard-drive and want to load Mandriva. its currently on XP.
How would i do that? Do i jus proceed wit a fresh installation or do i need to wipe XP off 1st?

If you have the live CD just pop it in and reboot.
Let it run off the CD and install. You will be given choices to go along with, make your choice on how you want to install Mandriva, either on it's own or alongside xp.

nb: make use of google.

Linux has its own Google search engine : www.google.com/linux

The Mandriva installer will do it for you, just follow the prompts.
