Former executive IT head at Cell C arrested for R64-million tender scam

A former executive head of IT at Cell C has been arrested in relation to a R64-million tender scam and is facing charges of fraud and corruption.

"The Hawks’ Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team in Germiston arrested a 44-year-old man for alleged fraud and corruption involving an approximately R64-million tender scam," the SAPS said in a statement.

"The suspect was an Information Technology (IT) manager at one of the well-known South African mobile network service providers."

Kudos to EOS, this want driven by the media, they uncovered this internally and decided to not make it disappear.

So he's in the chookie over the weekend or not?
Or does money exempt this? I mean what is bail if you don't sit?

Well, that explains why Cell C is in such a mess  They could have been a profitable business if not for this guy. Shame on him!

Their problems are way bigger than 64 mil... But yes, shame on him, he contributed to the staff losing their jobs.

I guess it was just a matter of time before 'The Sickness' which is SO prevalent with the Arseholes-That-Be [ATB] before the spoors of The Sickness spread over the fence as it were because it is airborne, to nearby people and/or businesses. Onlookers would've no doubt by now noticed that the ATB has been getting away with it for years.

Oh, one more thing, there is NO vaccine and/or antidote for Corruption...once you've contracted it, that's it - you're done!
