Former MTN CEO Rob Shuter gets R74 million for eight months

Former MTN CEO Rob Shuter received a salary package of R73.8 million in the last financial year, the company’s latest financial results revealed.

Shuter joined MTN as the new group president and CEO in April 2017. Before joining MTN he served as CEO of the European Cluster at Vodafone Group.

Good for him, I don't care about MTN but at least he didn't give it to the Guptas for that money like our other wannabe leadahs..

NO person but NO person in this world, with all the knowledge and expertise is worth this insane amount of money

Why, did your mobile service take a break during the pandemic?
Check you with the wise-ass crack. So because MTN doesn't take a break during Covid, it means execs don't need to lower their salaries whilst they do that to staff.
Yes, sounds logical. Great argument you put up there with that comment.

In all fairness, does it really matter? even if it was 50% he's still walking away with R37 million. Plenty to never have money woes.
It’s all about scale and proportions. His money woes come in the same proportions.
There’s someone who’ll look at your salary and assume the very same

MTN staffers were not generally amongst the ones that took a pay reduction in this country during Covid19.

How much does the tax man take ?

Less than 40%. I fall into the highest personal and corporate tax bracket.

I know from experience since I hired UNICUS to handle my SARS woes. You walk away richer, even after paying them their consultancy and handling fees.

I really have no any comment about how much a private company paid to the employees....

unless you are jealous. :p

Of course you can comment.

And if you are unhappy with how "your" company is run, you can sell your MTN shares.

If you are unhappy about how they spend the money you pay for your airtime, you can move to another provider.

I don't expect any leftist has any mtn share.

anyways, no one will blame you because you are jealous. :D :D :D
