Hmmm, ok then. Curious to see the verdict.
Yeah, I think the prima face evidence against Zweli was slightly stronger than in this case since there was already an SIU report iirc, looks like there is very little to work with in this one, since Cyril is definitely not going to sy anything of substance on the allegations.

Yeah, CR doesn't have as direct a hand in this as Zweli did. But the problem for CR is that the decisions around not reporting the case to police would have been made with his knowledge. He is still dodging direct questions - this would all have been easier if he'd just said I wasn't there and don't manage the farm directly (which would be plausible and even maybe true).

If these allegations (IOL - so not sure how much spin this is) are true, then Cyril should step down.
Ramaphosa allegedly solicited the services of his head of the Presidential Protection Unit, Major-General Wally Rhoode, to investigate the matter without reporting it at any police station.

Rhoode, in return, got a local farmer, who is a neighbour at Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala Farm in Bela-Bela, to assist him with the investigation to trace the thieves.

My feeling is that he will be okay as far as opening a case is concerned, the fact that he reported it to the Head of the Presidential protection should suffice, even if he knew that the case wasn't opened he would say he never followed up on the technicalities, as Rhoode should know what to do when such information is relayed to him.

The SARS issue around the foreign currency as well as all the regulations around that won't be too easy to deal with if any wrongdoing happened there, If Fraser is to be believed that is where this fight is at, the opening of cases is just a sideshow.

It seems Major-General Wally Rhoode was not given top level security clearance as per this. I wonder why he was appointed security chief in any case. Very very strange

This one is going to get sacked pretty soon. If amount was 4 million dollars, it is beyond belief that Cyril would not even follow-up with this guy. Granted, he is a billionaire but surely 4 million dollars is not something even a billionaire scoffs at?
The Presidency confirmed to News24 that PPU head General Wally Rhoode had not opened a docket and registered a case number. Fraser’s affidavit alleged the PPU had used off-book methods of investigation, including engaging the services of a local farmer to help.

Until Fraser brought the complaints, Ramaphosa had stayed mum, the President said, not to create panic.

If anyone believes this one :ROFL::ROFL:

The day Zuma said that he will spill the beans, I do think this being spilled by Fraser is a bean. They held on to this until now. The EFF, and Dali, is revelling at this moment.

All I am saying is that the tea party is coming together. Many surprises, like the Guptas, are now to be expected, they are now at each other's throats.

From zuma's perspective, it is very easy to say everything is a bean now, isn't it.

Much more like it was a godsend in an otherwise bleak season of bean spilling, Zuma has been threatening to spill the beans ever since the Mbeki years and the first bean they can spill is the one that happened in 2020? I still think uBaba has forgotten where he put his beans due to old age.

I would hazard a guess that most of his beans have rotted due to age as well.
