The problem there is the ethno-centric thinking that leads to the wrong conclusions as to why the differences exist and the assumption that they are permanent.

They will be permanent so long as social welfare is an exercise in mal-investment. Ironically it's only the smarter populations that would ever organise themselves so as to improve the overall gene-stock. at one stage the un defined racial oppression and not racism. now they define racism as racial oppression or superiority.

the definition of the word has definitely changed.

there are petitions to change/broaden the definition of racism.

race + ism can mean many things in reality

theres even a push to have it defined as white peoples oppression against black people.

Not difficult to grasp... you want to draw lines in the sand of pre/post to fit that narrative, which is the point I make re SA, playing by your own rule here, if you wanna draw lines like that, then, for example, no one can claim 'colonial' anything in SA, as SA has never been colonized, so, in future, when the likes of eff, anc etc rant on about colonialism, I expect you'll be setting them straight that SA and has never been colonized...
That said, lets not forget you're selectively ignoring the white sex slave trade which continued into the early 1900's and resulted in things like immigration policies etc... you're saying white was illegal in late 1700's... so? black illegal early 1800's... whats the issue? I don't see why you need invalidate one?

Not invalidating one, the white slave trade was terrible but it was also illegal and not something that was accepted and endorsed by the government - are you really suggesting that the illegal white slave trade was anything like as pervasive and wide spread as the legal ownership of black slaves in the US? How many white people in the US are descended from slaves versus how many black people are...? Are you suggesting that the effect of slavery on the white population was just as significant and widespread as the effect on the black population in the US?
