That isnt what I was saying at all, I worked for Vodacom for a while many many years ago, there is nothing at all I like about that company.
What I am saying is that releasing privileged information like financial records can and most likely will lead to prosecution.
Its also a he said, she said type scenario. If those are spreadsheets as it was mentioned then the integrity could be compromised and figures could have been modified.
Whether that happens or not has no bearing on this case. Also we have set a precedence in this country of protecting people who provide information, he isn't uploading it to some website but offering it to the court so can't be breaking any confidentiality with Vodacom. The last part can also apply to any information Vodacom has and in the end it will depend on what the court considers credible enough together with Makate accepting the final figure or not.

Vodacom cant just say "yeah we dont have records" and leave it at that, the information could have been extracted in a subpoena legally.
At the same time if someone from Vodacom claimed that in a hearing then they are in contempt of court, I doubt anyone would be willing to take that on the chin for their company.

Can is lead to prosecution of the court order it to be given to them?
