It seems as if by now you have realised that your problem is bigger than Fortnite.

I do not have experience with ADHD kids, so won't try and comment on that, but the homeschooling idea has alarm bells going off. Who will be doing the teaching?

At this stage it sounds like he is being enabled in a way that may affect him later in life. The last thing you need is a 32 year old staying with you expecting that his internet is paid and his skins bought whilst mom cooks and cleans. If mom is doing the teaching for homeschooling this idea may just get even further ingrained.

Good luck, this won't be an easy conversation with your SO and she may not have the same perspective. Also consider how involved the other dad is and how often your son spends time with him allowing you and mom time away from him.

Also if your house in in South Africa yes, corporal punishment is illegal, it's know as physical assault for almost a year now.

I was getting PKs even after it was made illegal.

If you act like a pu55y, or end up becoming a serial abuser, then you put the ball in their court. That's when you end up raising a little cnut who takes you to court etc. And when they reach adulthood, they grow a beard, a top-knot, and start vaping...

Corporal punishment has been illegal for ages. Not talking about the upgrade to assault.

Either way, he can tell someone and it can go to court, but then the onus of proof is on him and good luck doing that without any marks. Then when he gets home, all that nice schit he liked is gone and he must work for his pocket money...

In my day everyone hit everyone's kids i remember getting in a fight with a friend of mine I acted like a pos. His dad gave both of us n moerse pakslae we've remained friends till this day.

I think this case of this thread doesn't have anything to do with Fortnite or even gaming at all, it's an underlying issue, he would probably get angry/cheat playing a board game.

Or he is just overly competitive.

I think it's frustration that leads to anger.

I personally play Fortnite and the skill gap is incredibly big, the difference between an average player and a good player is like the difference between a Uno and a M3.

There are even ways you get eliminated that are humiliating so he gets frustrated a lot and doesn't know how to handle it so he gets angry and when he gets angry he gets an immediate reaction from screaming in his mic from the people on the other end.
