Hi folks

We have seen a significant increase in forum traffic, new registration and forum posts which is certainly great news. With so many different discussions and opinions it can often happen that a discussion thread gets heated. In such cases it is sometimes easy to launch personal attacks or make derogatory statements. Over the past few days the poor moderators were nearly working a full time job to keep this place calm and respectable.

Can you please refrain from launching any personal attacks on any member or making any derogatory statements! MyADSL will always remain a place where we value (and will protect!) freedom of speech, but unnecessary negative personal comments does not have much value and will usually just be deleted. It is certainly in everybody’s interest to ensure that MyADSL remains the respectable online environment it has become.

Your comments are most welcome as usual.

Regards,

RPM

Hi rpm,

It is probably a good idea to have a standard list of rules for posting. As soon as anyone registers they should be forwarded to the list. possible?

I agree though, while it is great to have differing points of view, I find it tiring to read personal attacks.

Etiquette and Personal Attack rules are waived for Monopoly supporters!

Agreed – but I’d like to reserve the right to berate myself.

Yes, self-defamation is allowed including people with multiple personality disorder.
