lol now that is funny :)

Perhaps he hitched a ride from someone visiting his habitat... Felt like having a vacation.

yep, those cats are going to go after that crab like the raptors went after that hunter in the original Jurassic Park...a pincer move.

How is Mr. Crab doing today?

He has been christened Krap. The little thing is full of ****. We put him in an old fish tank with some sand and water, and a few plants. He promptly made us understand plants are a no go. We had the one side half full of sand, sort of a beach if you will, and the other side filled with water. Krap decided to rearrange everything to his taste. Seems happy. Will sit on the sand for a while, then scurry off to take a dip in his mud pool.

We gave him some corn, which he seemed to like. Quite interesting to see.

Wife wants to keep him, already went and bought him some food. They live off bait used for fishing, specifically the mealie meal stuff called Super cast. Found him a nice cool spot in the atrium next to the fish pond.
Bless you both for your kind hearts.

I like the idea of feeding him and keeping him in a cage.

fatten him up a bit before you turn him into a curry crab potjie. that is the way to do it.

kindest way to do it is to stick him in the freezer for 8 hours or so. then drop him into the pot of boiling water.
