Now I can get a fast enough connection to receive WhatsApp texts.... 3mbps upload and download when visiting Fourways. My grandmother is faster than that and she doesn't even have legs.

But other than that, some good articles coming from MBB these days. Thank God loadshedding has been off the front page for a while. Got bored with the three daily Eskom articles from MBB.

Some good reads, thanks.

More than that, I'm surprised there isn't a single solar panel on the roof  (or panels over shaded parking, for that matter)

Had to double-check the date of the article to confirm that it was indeed published today and not in 2004 when I saw 3Mb/s.

It is a fact that there are people flying at 30,000 feet this very moment connected at higher speed in economy class.

OR Tambo and Starbucks should be the benchmark. Never connected at speeds lower than 50Mb/s with either of them.

Starbucks WiFi is great but the airports usually block any form of streaming services (guess that’s why it’s fast ) Netflix , Dstv etc all don’t work , wanted to offline some shows for a flight and couldn’t (VPNs blocked as well )

Also can’t remember if the airport had a data limit but speeds were great 50-100Mbps

All the people need is to get their Whatsupp messages and allow them to post on social madia

New brooms, long awaited WiFi. But forced to watch three ads before access. Really?!

Gee thanks. I was in Fourways Mall over the weekend and tested the vaunted free WiFi, and it is a steaming pile. Not ONLY is it 3Mbps, but the forced ads you have to watch, and the atrocious interface and bright colours make it a struggle to get to that “reward”.

Why can Hyprop offer 200Mbps for free in Woodlands Mall in Pretoria, but Fourways Mall has to lock 3Mbps away behind some forced advertising?

Do better, Fourways Mall. Do better.

Now that Paul’s Icecream is no longer in Fourways Mall, I’ve got less reason than ever to go there.
