No idea but i never knew capped account got shaped. I have a 100gb openweb account and it works like a dream.

Ya bro if you paying 20 bucks a gb you getting ripped. Well it depends how much you download i guess. i'm paying 7 bucks a gb with openweb.

I never really use more than about 25 gigs a month but I do always have my full 7mbit/sec so seems unshaped to me - axxess lite account.

You do get shaped capped accounts killadoob. Barfish88 these accounts are not shaped at all and what you are experiencing can be described as throttling although I highly doubt that is what is happening here. Do not confuse shaping with throttling. From where are you downloading at 1mbps? What speed does your line sync at?

Ok throttling then, line syncs at 6mbps. On Openweb doing speedtest I get 2mbps download, switch over to my other is based acc and get full speed.
