So I recieved an sms from cellc today. It reads as follows....

"Give your CellC number to your friends at Vodacom and MTN! For every 2 minutes of calls u get from them, we will give u 1 free CellC minute by early Sept'12.CellC"

Hmmm. So basically what it is same like 8ta but its just 2minutes instead of 3 and they don't say if the free minutes you get can be used for all networks or when it expires. The callcenter is so clueless its actually not funny from it being a scam to friends and family and also one guy told me yes you are able to recieve calls from MTN and Vodacom..... Duh...

Lol any 1 else recieved this sms? Is it permanent cause if it is I'm porting my 8ta number asap cause the data prices are cheap too. So the cheap data and free minutes for recieving calls will bring me to cellc no doubt. :D

Hmm... they're getting smart now...

I wonder if they got the idea from 8ta.... Hmm....

Or maybe the idea came from Vox... Hmm....

Or perhaps Vox got the idea from MyBroadband Forums, right here....

Hmm....

Who knows?

Maybe it's a sign of things to come...

If you think about it - it's kind-of how the free market works. You give something, it gives something back. It just needs to spread out a little... reach ever smaller and smaller capillaries of the network of everything TM... in this wonderfully curiously self-similar world we find ourselves in...

It's a long shot, for sure. But maybe the internet created itself... from Björk's mountain. Or Plato's world of forms. Or science's "higher spatial dimensions..." Or Gödel's ultimate sentence from his theorems of incompleteness...

That would be awesome considering that their straight up contracts are so much value for money

Ah, a free lunch. I have been awaiting this. Just like the website that advertises free RAM.

Still haven't received this SMS.

If it turns out that the free minutes is only applicable to the Cell C network, then I will be disappointed.

As it is, Cell C is the simplist network so far, no need to complicate things now.

I agree completely. KISS - keep it simple-stupid.
In addition if I read it correctly, it applies to calls from Vodacom ot MTN, not 8ta or Cell C.

I was actually asking. Cause the sms is short and no details given nothing on the website so I just don't know.
