Boom! Now I can stream music in the car without data cost stress.
Well done, Telkom.
Also, those moaning about contracts, you can actually purchase a SIM-only FreeMe contract on a month-to-month basis, if you don't want to sign a 24-monther.
I wouldn't trust anything "made" by Telkom. Burned myself with one of their cordless phones and then there's the Marconi modems.
Read the article, says 360p. Anything above is your own cost. Remember this includes many music services. Plus 360p on a phone or a tablet is fine. Plus you don't need hi-res for prank videos and many YouTube stuff.Well if this gives 1080P then well done Telkom - if not - then another missed opportunity ...
FreeMe works with MTN roaming, yes.I wonder if the same will be while roaming on the MTN network?
Not for me personally. To encourage others who want to try getting a YT channel going and get a taste even if it is at a lower resolution.![]()
I wonder if this will also work on the FreeME TOPUP 2GB.

Isn't LIT a reference to drug usage?
/Waits for someone to sue them/take them to court for promoting drug usage.

Anyone else having problems with this?
Just purchased a FreeMe 5gb and tried streaming Netflix and DSTV Now.. It's definitely still using normal data.
