Unlike other domains, the NOM.ZA domain registrants do not own their domains, they are simply custodians of them.

True, as the registration waiting time can be up to 4 weeks as its a manual registration process so yup their are down sides to freeNo thanks probably just as many hoops to jump through as trying to get a .tk domain name. In the end I gave up and paid for one rather.
