Wow, I'm impressed. Just a pity I live in the sticks in the city.

Anyone else thinks that maybe there is open access negotiations that are being finalised so Cybersmart wants their customers to be reminded who gave them their Fibre "free" first :p before switching to another provider for data?

Right now you cannot use another ISP on Lightspeed.

Maybe mybroadband can find out for us ;)?

This is a good deal, but like another poster mentioned, I'm not within the coverage zone.

The 60GB per month is free forever after paying "installation". Well that's how they're marketing it.

This is cybersmart which means you need to "do their marketing" and then "find them clients" and lots of them before they actually "consider" installing in your area, nope, no thanks.

We have this at our complex. Been active since around Feb so not exactly a new package. It works well with the units that have temporary users (think AirBnb).

We also use it for our CCTV system which is great since we use data on demand and there is no monthly fee, saving the body corporate on having to pay R500+ for internet connectivity.

I use the full blown package (200gb/1000gb a/h @ 400mps) and it still blows my socks off on a daily basis.

This lets users, using the fibre installation and 2,000GB/10,000GB package as an example, get:

A 400Mbps connection.1,060GB of data per month.Price R8,498 – effectively R700 per month over a year.

That's misleading to say the least, bordering on BS . It's actually 176.66GB day data and 833.33GB night time data. Not the same as 1060GB

Problem is most providers do this kind of advertising these days (looking at you Telkom / Cell C) with segmented data calculated together. To be fair the advertising used by Cybersmart does make it quite clear, it is the article that is confusing.

I mean I have 200GB daytime and 1000GB after hours but don't go around saying I have a 1.2TB cap. I mention the 200GB and then mention the rest, which is like 'bonus' data for mass downloading.
