Digicape has confirmed that Apple Premium Resellers in South Africa will implement the keyboard service programme for MacBook and MacBook Pro devices.

Apple recently confirmed that keyboards in recent MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops may encounter issues with sticking or broken keys.

It always disappoints me when people would rather take offence at an imagined slight than just take in the substance of a post. You've got to be neck-deep in the Apple juice to take issue with what I said. And I didn't call for anyone to buy Windows products or boycott Apple. I literally said wait for the upcoming hardware refresh.

It is a simple fact that purchasing a MBP right now would be incredibly stupid. The much loved MacRumors buyers' guide has every current Mac down as 'Do Not Buy'. The current model has generally not been critically well received and is about to be replaced. The hate is everywhere from Reddit to Youtube to even the MacRumors forum, and not even the Apple-loving Verge rates the MBP very highly in their recent roundup of the best laptops. The keyboard does suck by any reasonable person's standard, the battery life is nowhere close to what Apple claims, the port selection is frustrating to casual and pro users alike, the outdated and slow Intel hardware is unacceptable for such expensive hardware and it's fair to say that most people find the Touch Bar to be a useless gimmick.
