This is another episode concerning admission. Too many unknowns to be conclusive, but what is clear is assault, and it is up to the court to determine whether there was intent and or motive to drown a person to validate the attempted murder charge.

Racism, or rather dignity, at play here, is intensely debated by the public, and the SAHRC will also get involved, or so it is said. Again, this is best argued in the courts which is my opinion, the matter needs to be vented at the soonest. Not too many parties involved have engaged with the media, but seeing the CCTV released to the public means that the venue is cooperating.

Not to worry, next week another "racist" incident will have the attention of all the race baiters and this one will be forgotten like the diabetes woman and Hanks pub. Remember those?

So, releasing evidence before the trial is acceptable as are the publishing of identities before an appearance in court? Doesn't that invalidate a trial or is this a special case where the law doesn't apply?

More like majority rule/democracy.

This? Some 2000 year old advice:

Socrates was of the belief that democracy without educated masses (educated in the broader sense of being knowledgeable and responsible) would only lead to populism being the criteria to become an elected leader, and not competence. This would ultimately lead to a demise of the nation. This was quoted by Plato in book 10 of The Republic, in Socrates' conversation with Adimantus. Socrates was of the opinion that the right to vote must not be an indiscriminate right (for example by birth or citizenship), but must be given only to people who thought sufficiently of their choice.

In the Republic, Plato's Socrates raises a number of objections to democracy. He claims that democracy is a danger due to excessive freedom. He also argues that in a system in which everyone has a right to rule all sorts of selfish people who care nothing for the people but are only motivated by their own personal desires are able to attain power. He concludes that democracy risks bringing dictators, tyrants, and demagogues to power. He also claims that democracies have leaders without proper skills or morals and that it is quite unlikely that the best equipped to rule will come to power

Can you summarise the passage for me in your own words?

Come to evidence it is a technical question because it depends on how the evidence will be classed and presented in the court. The evidence is public, so I can't see it deemed as being tainted. Could there be more CCTV, and other material, to better establish the events which transpired, sure.

The identities weren't leaked by the police or the courts. People (and the media) will dig and report at their own discretion.

This case will be heard as normal.

Unbelievable how so many fell for this misinformation of the known loon.
It's how it usually is on social media.

People don't have a definitive timeline or info about said incident/event.
Someone like Petzer, for example, spreads misinfo about incident/event and some people would believe that misinfo either because it links up with their beliefs or they don't stop to think if it's really true or not (Similar to Rama/WMC, JS/Matric, the CPT Irish Bar and Logan and so on).
