It's PR. According to the article, the argument was about the show not being reflective of NYC life.

Anyhow, both sides have their bad actors, but one side is running with more vitriol than the other.

I wouldn't say these views are popular amongst the youth, perhaps amongst the more vocal ones on social media which is a separate demographic all on its own. They aren't the ones making the content spreading "The Message". This is due to those that infected the entertainment industry. The youth mostly just watch what is available and if there is nothing good to compare it to then they will just consume. In effect their views are being shaped by these hacks in Hollywood. The majority viewers are against this nonsense, but unfortunately they're either not aware of its pervasiveness or not outspoken enough about it. So it's completely our failure in not pushing back enough.

Take the latest Thor movie, you'd basically have to be mentally retarded to consider it a good movie and the writers of it also feel that way about the audience going by what they write. This was the worst marvel movie since MoM. Until these blockbuster movies start losing money they wont stop, so waking up the undiscerning normie consumer is more important than just not buying a ticket. Schools should start showing parts of film/series discussions like those on Critical Drinkers Open Bar to educate them.
