Read it all, unfortunately. And I mean no offence here, but you both need to grow up...

I never knew men could be petty like this .... it sounds like high school girls to me.

Also, no offence meant.

which most of the group will believe since they are sheep and consider me untrustworthy

Why are you friends with these people?

You get *friends*, and you get *people you hang out with* (usually cos of proximity)

I would speak to him directly. If he doesn't respond, speak to him again directly in front of another friend or two. That will cause a blow-up, so you can all deck each other, reset the tension, then go get drunk and do it all over again in a year.

Now he is very strange in that he is nice to me when he is alone with me, but once he is with the other members of the group, it is the "Diss me" brigade[/b] (not all members do it, but he is the ringleader). Now I can take a bit of play "dissing" but this is almost a daily occurrence and it can get quite mean. Although it must be said, I don't really get affected by it, I just remember it is daily because I have a good memory.

I was once guilty of doing that to a friend. Was a kid but really should have known better. :(

Guy sounds like an ass but maybe just maybe he's not fully aware of what he's doing to you. Problem is if you open up to him about it and he is an ******* you could be in for some more ridicule. Then again your other friends might call him out if he does take the piss. I dunno I'm not very good at this school drama 90210 stuff :D

I'll just say almost all your 'friends' especially at school are of the mutually beneficial type meaning they leach off you, you leach off them everything is cool as long as everything runs smoothly. True friends you can actually totally depend on you'd be lucky to have even a few in a lifetime.
