Hi all,

I'm having a rather strange FTP problem that I hope somebody can shed some light on.

The FTP server in question is : www.bubblers.co.za

I have the 128k package, and m currently connected to 66 Hyde Park, around 27% strength, 4 lights, no problems at all (apart from speed ;)

I use PPPoE with a Linux Smoothwall implementation, all patches applied. My machine is Windows XP. I have the same problem whether I use USB on my machine directly or not. I am using passive mode when using the firewall.

Ping to www.bubblers.co.za :

All other FTP sites I use work perfectly.. :( I have asked a friend to try FTP from a corporate network through MTN and he has no problems getting connected - I just cannot connect through MW to this specific server. Any suggestions?

Yep ;) Use passive mode via ftp apps when using firewall / ppoe, but also tried dos ftp when connected directly via USB. Same results; all work except that one damn site.

Anyone else on MW that can connect to that server and get creds?

Resolved.. turns out the host was firewalling 66.* addresses due to hacking attempts... [:p]
