Bad news for petrol prices

Several banks and major financial institutions believe that finance minister Enoch Godongwana will announce hikes on at least one of the major fuel taxes during his 2025 budget speech.

The two biggest fuel taxes are the general fuel levy (GFL) and road accident fund (RAF) levy.

Neverending of double standards! Last time it was said their checking to see how they can make the price better for us....

That's how they make it better for them... Oh the people oh no never

"There is a general consensus that the government has no more room for increases in personal income taxes"

We'll steal more from you but at least you won't see it on your payslip.

The good news is the poor get to feel these increases too.
I'm gatvol of the majority of the voter base who keep these things in power hiding behind the poverty shield, let them suffer.

they meant, better for "us" as in their back pocket.

Nice to live on the border when high prices and fuel costs are someone else's problem. Typical ANC theft going on as always.

Although they may feel it, the majority are far too uneducated on the way government and taxes work to make the connection between increased fuel taxes and their increased suffering come voting time, unfortunately.

Just try explain to your staff why you can’t afford to give them an increase even though your prices have increased, because your operating costs have also gone up because of the cost diesel, and you are already teetering dangerously close to the edge of what price the market will accept? Tell me how well that goes.

Sadly this is true.
Many, if not most don't even know what taxes are.
I've heard this first hand, people getting upset because they think the taxes that are deducted monthly are supposed to be paid back to them over Christmas/new year.

Where are the cANCer buttlickers ? No defending the cANCer degenerates on more of their "good stories to tell" ??
