Full HSDPA signal, but slow downloads in Bellville, CT area

I am really really unhappy with MTN's HSDPA service. I am busy with work, constantly have to refresh pages and things take forever to download - even though I have a full 5 bar signal. This also happened last night, but I overlooked it because of the bad weather conditions. However, there is no wind tonight and the same thing is happening. It's taking me twice as long to finish my work At this rate, I can go back to my old dialup modem

Also happening on Virgin for the past week. Not happening tonight on MTN.

There have been problems with HSDPA.

Try setting your modem to EDGE/GPRS Only and see if it improves.

It is not the best solution, but sometimes is faster.

Thanks for the suggestion, sean12. I am glad to say that things improved after 22:00, so I got my work done at least . I just wish there was some way that MTN could warn users when there are problems with the network...
