Interface Media is seeking medium level PHP developers position in the
Information Technology sector, Houghton Estates, Johannesburg, South
Africa (Gauteng). We are looking for a candidate with experience in
programming using tools such as JavaScript, PHP and SQL database
applications. You will be responsible for the development, design, testing and
maintenance of our systems.
Must be a team player – Creative and innovative thinker – Good communication/presentation skills – Ability to work well under pressure, especially in maintaining a balanced and logical approach – May need to work overtime and standby if necessary – Diploma / Degree in Information Technology. – 2 – 3 years PHP programming experience essential. – Experience using web technologies such as AJAX/WEB2, DHTML and CSS. – 2 – 3 years building web-based applications using PHP, JavaScript, XML and SQL databases. – Understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). – Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential. – Ability to maintain, manage and support online applications. – Must have relational database design skills and experience – Must have your own transport – Ability to research, understand and implement new technologies and applications quickly. – Preference would be given to those with skills in:
Object Orientated Design, XML, Web Services, JSON, IIS and Apache – ActionScript / Flash remoting – Windows/Linux server administration – Having worked with PostgreSQL / MySQL – Having worked with computers from an early age
