My guess is that he used to be a Sergeant-Major (Warrant Officer First Class) in the army.

???? Don't get it - that is a normal GP plate so unless you think it stands for something else, nothing to see here. In fact, this is mentioned above. Ours plates are Letter-Letter Number-Number Letter-Letter GP. Every now and then you get a gem out of that, like a while back I found CR 00 KS and just yesterday I found Cheech Marim's car CH33CH but it is not often we get words out of it.
