Gagged and bound

A sorry state of affairs indeed :(

The reigning regimes biggest and only adversary / enemy is the press.
Creating a climate where freedom of expression and speech is enshrined has come full circle and is biting them in the behind, repeatably.
Not a day goes by without some or other scandal being uncovered.
Its great that it gets out in the open, but there seems to be no accountability or consequences for wrong doing. This really does nothing for credibility.

The film and publications amendment might be shelved for now but the motive is quite clear, they need to curtail the amount of bad press and cover up stuff like this. It proposes incorporating news and print media which is currently exempt from the act. Why, Censorship with a capital C. Not even the Nat's did this.

Its seems as if the some of the SABC board members and Snuki are nothing more than the modern day Gestapo which are polluting organisations and institutions all over our country, out to further the goals of the ruling party at all costs and completely above the law.

Sorry for the rant, disgusted in it all and next year probably wont be able to voice my opinion.

Mpofu = Snuki's biatch

Truly embarrasing and disgusting state of affairs from the national broadcaster. This must be a shining example to the rest of the world over how things are run in South Africa. Blatant disregard for the true level of crime, ignorance of medically proven fact around HIV/AIDS and instead promoting magical beetroot as a cure, exploitation of consumers and the economy by protecting shareholders interest in telecoms, free press censorship and hipocratical non-governance practices.

Our Constitution and Bill of Rights guarantees every citizen of this country certain things. What can be done to combat this slow drift toawrds a dictatorship? Our young democracy is in the process of being twisted and before long the only democratic aspect will be on face-value.

It's not co-incidence that these negative worms are crawling out of the proverbial woodworks. The Truth is always revealed at some point. I wonder how much credence this lends South Africa in our new non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council. We can't even manage ourselves - who's to take our recommendations / views on global issues seriously?

All three seem to believe that a critical mandate of the SABC is to protect and advance the interests of the ruling ANC.

And so the ANCBC plods on....

IMO our government is always running the risk of implimenting communism. The background is certainly there. So far we have been dodging normal communist doctrine when it comes to public life, but the tendencies are there. There is no use in denying it. We all want to believe different, but we know it is there, isn't it comrades?

Anther example of the South Africa route towards becoming Zimbabwe . It is just a matter of time.

The old Regime had been supported by the West, for the fight against communism. 40 years of struggle against the Berlin wall and Apartheid
But the Winner was Gorbatschoff he dismantled the Soviet Union and the
Cold War ended. So no need to support the old Regime. I only wonder who won the so called Struggle. Because without Gorbatschoff there might be
still a Struggle. I think that is the true History, the ANC had been supported by Moskau all the years, but then Gorbatschoff stopped that too.
