They mention built-in editing of pictures as show in
Ice_Cream_Sandwich_review_18-420-90.jpg
which I fail to see. Not saying it's a show stopper. Just curious as to where it is. Just noticed that the mentioned Google Books is not available in South Africa...

That has happened to me when I had WPA2 AES enabled. Changing it to TKIP made it work for me

Is this the XXLPH ROM you guys are using? And does it count your custom ROM counter, or is this a stock ROM?

Thanks

Tried Thebyani rom, both version 3.1 and version 3.0.
Both very stable, had no problems with the market or running any apps, stock ICS looks beautiful and NOVA launcher really adds to it (the ability to add up to 15 different toggles in the notification bar is awesome) and the restyled youtube and gmail apps are miles ahead of the old ones.
Problems I have encountered include the fact that your cannot import music playlists from the stock music player (so you'll have to recreate all your playlists), also the roms do not include swype (states they do in the changelog though?) you can install swype beta (includes dragon dictation and a better dictionary) but i couldnt get my old dictionary to import properly. Also haven't been able to restore wifi passwords through titanium backup.
Another con I found is that it doesnt seem possible to choose what order apps are installed in and what pages, they are just done alphabetically, annoying since I like to group similar apps together.

Question. What happens with the buttons on the face of the device? My understanding as that ICS doesn't need buttons. Do you now have a phone with useless buttons?

ICS can run with or without buttons. If the device doesn't have buttons it will display the softkeys. If it has buttons the soft keys aren't shown on the display. Ie you will still see ICS devices with buttons.

Yes its stock. Who cares about the counter? Get a jig off ebay for R25 shipped... Mine arrived last week, took 5 weeks but at R25 who cares...

Is it a non-wipe? And in the link I mentioned, do I just flash the ROM mentions under 'Its live!', or do I flash the kernel too?

Sent from my Galaxy

It's non-wipe. You don't need to flash the kernel as well. That's only if you wanna get rid of yellow triangle or if you flash a custom kernel and then want to go back to stock kernel.

I've been thinking of flashing my device but I've heard there are too many instabilities in the leaked ICS ROMs. What do you guys think, are the benefits worth the potential troubles, if any? I'm desperate to run ICS on my device!

Same question over and over and over. LPH is stable and has no issues. For me LPH had been running better than any 2.3.xx
