Hope someone can help.

I upgraded to S3 and began re-downloading all my apps and games. I had purchased a few games from Gameloft and EA but when I look on S3 play store some of these games do not even exist or I have to purchase again? How do I port my games from my S2 across to my S3? Not worried about the the game data [saved games etc]. For instance, I had Avatar on S2 and now its not listed on App Store nor even listed as available for my device? Another cool one from EA games: Spy-Mouse.

Both phones rooted [thanks to previous posts :)] and have Titanium Backup Pro - not sure to use this to backup game files [.apk?]

Any advice,

Thanks!!

If your using the store on your phone you will only be able to see apps/games compatible with your device. It is possible that the S3 has not yet been listed as a supporting device for those games.

You can use TB to restore them and if needed lucky patcher to patch them so you can "illegally" use the games you paid for until such time as the devs mark it as compatible.

If you use the website you will be able to see if its compatible or not with your phone.

Stupid question, but did you purchase everything from the Play store?

I lost a few good apps when I went from my S2 to Note because I'd got them from Amazon or the Samsung store.

Just a thought :)

EDIT: BTW Plants vs Zombies says it isn't compatible on the Note so it's obviously not hardware related for some of the games as it ran happily on the S2.

Its less about actual compatibility and more about developers actually declaring it compatible.

Why it could be "incompatible" could vary from OS version to screen resolution, effectively it may work but said game may of not been developed to work correctly with the screens resolution of the S3. I know the FNB app's layout breaks on my Galaxy note which for an app like that is no real issue, but for a game it can make a major difference adding a few hundred pixels to the vertical and horizontal.

Hek it may work perfectly from your POV and the developers just have not tested it yet, or they have tested it and found problems that may not effect you but will effect others.

Look at the Photoshop touch suite, the Galaxy Note with ICS meets and even exceeds every requirement except for screen physical size, but until Adobe actually "certifies" it for the Note I will never be able to buy it from the play store.

Yup, the games i purchased on the Play Store work fine, its the ones I bought from Samsung Store or the developers direct that I can't find or it lists I have to re-purchase. We talking mayeb about R16 bucks here but its for a couple of games so maybe R100 odd in total :(

Agree, not hardware-related, not like i'm upgrading from a pentium-286 to sandybridge :)

I can't get logged into the Samsung store since I changed phone, so I just chalked up my apps I initially got from there to experience. I had a free Tapatalk I lost, but I use it all the time so I had no problems buying it from the Play store anyway. Don't bother with the Samsung store now.
