Galaxy S4 accidental damage warranty for South Africa

Sounds fishy. Who covers water damage? Really unless you will be selling the phone for R20000, I would not cover water damage, intentional or not, it's not the liability of the manufacturer. So there has to be a catch somewhere. Do they think they will get so much more customers with this (using this perk as advertising) that it will cover the repairs themselves?

Why does there have to be a catch? Its a warranty. Ive dropped my phone so many times, reckon they have realised its a genuine concern for smart phone owners nowadays.

How will they differentiate between accidental, intentional and negligent damage? There must be a screening process and conditions. If not such an offer can be severely abused. But it is awesome service from Samsung. Who cares about "made from plastic" with an offer like this?

That is nice and fantastic from Samsung, but what happened to the HTC One review that was posted on the main page today? I really hope that it wasn't removed so that this article could be placed.

This is awesome.

I had to pay R300 for a similar warranty for my iPhone 5.

I'm watching the live stream. The guy says you can throw the phone and break the screen and still bring it in and get the screen replaced. Awesome :)
