wow - s4 kills everything else. looking forward to getting one

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is only expected to launch from later in April 2013, however,

And the HTC One is expected to appear......when exactly?

You retarded? Not everything is about specs.

Why not? If that is what is important to him...

Looks : HTC One > S4
Hardware specs : HTC One < S4

Flagship software updates in the past : HTC < Samsung
Flagship dev community in the past HTC < Samsung
Flagship accessories in the past HTC < Samsung

Actually the only numbered spec that is really better on the S3 is the processor and that is not really a spec that matters that much since both are very fast.
The camera on the HTC > Samsung. In fact it rivals apple and Lumia 920 see: http://anandtech.com/show/6747/htc-one-review/7
It completely dismisses the megapixel myth. Note there are earlier rushed reviews of the One based on prerelease camera firmware. anadtech's reviews is based on the retail model.

And to add:
Engineering quality: HTC > Samsung - See same anadtech review. Each chassis takes over 3 hours to cut.
Design: HTC > Samsung - Front facing stereo speakers

Not just that.

I regulary use my phone in the bath.

With the Z no worrying if I drop the phone :D

I want user experience and day-to-day usage comparison.

Plus I want to see the Grand S and Ascend P2 compared to the above even though it will not be available in SA.

I am already waiting to order an Asus PadFone Infinity as soon as it will be available to order.

One will have better this, the other better that. E.g. both the HTC + S4 comes with an IR blaster but the Z not, the Z is water resistant... The S4 has an array of sensors etc. Not everybody would care about these.

At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.

Rubbish. There was a review on gsmarena.com that shows the S4 has a better camera.
Personally, after going through all the reviews, I'll be taking the S4. I don't care about looks. I care about functionality. If you choose a phone for its looks, then you're retarded.

GSM Arena got a pre-release phone to review. Post release there was an update that increased picture quality. Anandtech's review is post update.

GSMArena did the review with a preview SG4 and HTC One; the One did not yet have the firmware patch for the camera installed. AnandTech did a detailed review with the patch installed. GSMArena did release an article related to the patch release but did not do another comparison; this is discussed in the Official HTC One Thread.

Merc, why is a person that use looks as a deciding factor a retard? Look and feel matters to many, and in that dept the Xperia and HTC win hands down. The S4 is a beast for sure, but who needs all that? For me it is about balance and where I would have gone for the Samsungs in the past my vote now goes to Xperia Z and HTC One, in that order.

The Xperia Z is a top Android phone that can be left on the edge of a pool/bath/jacuzzi and used with wet hands. No more running to a chair and a towel to take a call. Wins me over. I'll compromise power for that any day. Can even read my Kindle books in bath/jacuzzi.

Because it is retarded. You don't spend R8000 on something that looks pretty. You spend it something that works better than the rest.
