Hi all, i have a galaxy tab running ice cream sandwich with my cell c sim card, ive requested the data settings from 147 but it is always on edge. I have a blackberry 9900 with a cell c sim also and that is on 3G the entire time. Ive tried looking under mobile network options but theres nothing about 2/3g just gsm /wcdma, which ive tried on auto and just gsm. Any ideas?

Set the "Network mode" to "WCDMA only", then it will only work in 3G. GSM is 2G.

You may lose 3G when you have poor signal, but it is worth a try.

Running my Galaxytab 10.1 on Cyanogenmod 10 with Jellybean 4.1.1 and 3G runs great.

Yeah, so try set Network mode to WCDMA and see if it works. Or you can flash up a couple versions :)

Thanks guys the wcdma only did the trick, i didnt bother trying it because i thought we only had gsm. Pardon my ignorance but does this mean cellc are a cdma network too? What about the other networks? I may be confusing cdma with another acronym used for a mobile network method we dont have here yet...

[edit]
I see W-CDMA and CDMA are two different things, got it :)
