Well i have read reports of game glitches, backward compatability problems and ofcourse Sony's problems with the Blu ray reader...not sure what their problem is but my guess is that there is probably a high waste percentage...(does anyone know what the blu ray problem is?)
Sony are under HUGE preassure to make the PS3 thing work. They were supposed to release it a while ago but delayed. Xbox got a huge headstart and Nintendo is bringing out the Wii soon. In my opinion Sony is under so much preassure that instead of announcing another delay, they have released the PS3 prematurely on the back of the Wii launch. Why else would they release such a small number. It got only a small lead on the Wii, and only a limited amount has been put into circulation, but I guarantee that not many peeps who bought the PS3 can afford to buy the Wii straight after...never mind being able to buy food and pay your rent.....
When nintendo brought out the N64 and the cube there were delays upon delays.The cube wasnt meant to come out exaclty five years after the N64..it was meant to before then but delays resulted in this.....but thats because when nintendo release a machine...they get it right the first time. No consoles overheating...no exploding batteries (didnt relate to consoles but says something bout Sony's)
