We played Game's Black Friday "metaverse" game — and it was pretty fun

Game has launched its The Black Friday Game in the Roblox “metaverse” on Monday, offering players a chance to win a share of R10,000 in store vouchers.

Although Game is taking some creative licence with the term “metaverse”, the fact is that Roblox is one of the world’s biggest online gaming platforms with over 200 million monthly users — primarily among tweens and teens.

I saw a person get something in the 30s, and then a guy who kinda went the same route as I did score 47... so yeah, don't know how they did it.

Just some advice, in the case you want to do runtimes, select the emptiest server, there are three.

Are the scores even being recorded, do you get your score and keep the game open forever and hope for the best are other questions I have.

I don't know how that one player got sub-50, never mind the other sub-40, but this is the best I did in ~20 odd runs. I can cut another 2-3 sec without other players.

I tried to game the teleporters (potholes), but in all attempts it adds another ~5 sec to a logical course.

EDIT: Removed the scoreboard, best I got was 57, but once you know the speed run it can improve.

Sub-50 is very possible. I haven't done it, but it can be done with patience. My score is close though.

47 dead is my best. I can probably shave 2 more seconds down on that, but it would have to be a very clean run without any other disruptive players. I don't believe I will be able to get below 45 on my current route.

There is a player consistently getting 44, and I saw him get 43-something. Most speed runners seem to average the 47-mark, so I doubt I will be in the top 3.

How one player got sub-40 only he/she will know.

I still don't know how Game announces the winners, and there is no global leaderboard.

players who sit on comets aren't making it easy. Mods should kick idle players.

I see you ran the right path. Just need to get clean up the Game store. It takes many attempts, but that is where you make or break it with your time. A good start is to get to the garage within 17sec.

Theres already cheaters in the game. I saw 3 yesterday doing an infinite jump hack/glitch, thats in the 30 min or so that I was playing. I can imagine there is a larger number of cheaters that will always win.
