My current 3tb will last me for 2-3 months , so hope there is another special then

How come so cheap ? Is everyone clearing out there inventory for a new model or is SSD coming down in price or are Wallmart/MassStores using their bulk buying power to purchase containers.

I doubt that they are making any profit at those prices. I think that the idea is to use these specials to attract customers to purchase other items while in the store.

Pretty poor strategy imo. If I'm dropping a grand on something, I'm not going to buy a vacuum cleaner or television on impulse.

I always say they marketing gimmicks just to attract you to store, each store probably receives 1 - 5 units. When you goo there you disappointed and buy another brand.

I did see 4tb external hard drive from Dionwired for R1999. It's an awesome price..

Let me think about this, buy one 4GB drive for R2000 or buy 2x3GB (6GB) drives for R2200. I'm torn

let us know how is goes removing the drive from the casing ... i.e. how easy or hard it is to make this an internal drive

any body have a guide to opening these up

i cant find anything on the net

id appreciate a few pics if somebodies opened one up so i can do it with minimal damage ,incase the drive becomes faulty down the line

or even a youtube vid if you adventurous
