GameMax is going LIVE - only R69 (± £4) a month

The price for the service is only R69 (± £4) a month, not bad at all if you don't mind paying the extra bit...

After 3 months of open beta testing, GameMax is going LIVE. We would like to extend our
thanx to the hundreds of beta users who assisted us with testing, suggestions and positive
feedback.

We hope that GameMax has changed your gaming experience for the better as it has for our team and
many, many of our users.

We will only remove all unregistered beta account's on Web 28 Jan 2009, giving all our beta users
enough time to re-register their username's and be able to continue using Gamemax without any
interruption or changes.

All beta users may keep their existing usernames and passwords if they so wish, all you need to do
is choose the same username when signing up, then confirm that it really belongs to you by entering
your current password, that's all.

Once again many thanx for assisting us in the last few months and as always we appreciate any
feedback and suggestions on how we can improve the service.

Hope to see you all back on our servers very soon!

Fk me, R 69 a month is a bit steep :(

I'm now used to it and hereby forced to sign up for it. Seriously they, need to re look at the price. R 49 - 50 a month....

cheapskate....R19 more is not going to kill you :rolleyes::D

R69 is really not so bad; go and compare it to artofping or lowping and related....

I'm pretty pissed because they said it would be in the region of R 49 a month.

R 20 is R 20 :mad:

out of R 69.00 that is 28.99% it's MASSIVE :(

yeah i have to tend to agree R69 is a bit over the top for the service. I have not used it in a long time.

from what i remember this was replied-

So its R9 more, but what has not increased this year ?. no-one is anyways forcing you to use it. zomgz R69 is so bad, but i will gladly go and spent it on a booze/smoke/drink/movie or two...:rolleyes:

it's a fair price, but what worries me is entering my cc details on their site on an usecured form.

And what exactly as a beta user have you contributed ? i can bet you now that most did just use the service without given feedback or really tried to help out as a tester anyways should.

-if it is one thing i've learnt from my days in a cyber cafe is that RSA-ers always wants the FREE, but would hardly pay for a service- and on the other hand they would gladly go and excess the same amount someplace else.

It's not about free services ;)

It's about charging a fee in line with the service you provide. Sure it's nice to have a slightly lower ping. But I have been playing for 2 years without it. If you want me to use it, then charge me a price more suited for the service.

If it was a must have I would gladly pay R 100. Point is, it's not a must have and I can play fine without it :p If you want me to use what ever service you are providing then charge me correctly. If you over charge you will not get the clients you want.

But hey, that's just me :eek:

exactly, but even stepping out the door (oor being inside your house) is unsecure; if you don't receive mails from porn sites of confirmation of membership, it was safe :D

Well personally I'll rather pay R69 and play 200-300ms instead of 300-700ms.

Seems that VAT was added to the R60, cant complain it was free for a long time. If i started paying from the start(been on it for 3 months) the R60 it would have been R180 already.

3 months = 1 month of WoW.
12 months = 4 months of WoW.

Credit card fraud is a lot more common then getting molested stepping out of your front door. I am sorry but I will not enter my CC details on an insecure web page. I will wait till they get an Paypall option. Or some other means of paying...
£4 is not too bad, though £3.5, would be better ;) Just want to know if this is coupled to rand or to pound? So we can estimate it going up or down in price...
