Hey, it's not impossible. I can check that IP range on the default settings for Pamela against these But I can't be to sure unless I check it

Anyway, there seems to be cheaper alternatives so I'll give Gamemax a pass ty

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) Gamemax didn't work very well for me. It started out fine with a tasty 290ms ping on unshaped then after a few weeks I'd start getting random lag spikes.
At first I was like 'meh it's free, can't have it all'. But after a particularly expensive death I decided screw this, give me a higher but more constant ping.

Not sure what suddenly started causing those spikes but even if I was still using it, I don't know if I'd want to pay for something that wasn't working 100% for me.
(note I said "for me", maybe other people don't get the spikes)

£4 is not too bad, though £3.5, would be better Just want to know if this is coupled to rand or to pound? So we can estimate it going up or down in price...

To answer some of the queries we have been getting

As some of you have notice SSL is not yet ready on the signup page, apologies about that. So all
the users who are waiting for SSL don't worry it will be up and running soon and we will notify you
of the change, we are only disabling beta users on wed 28 Jan so there is plenty of time.

We will be implementing an option to use any account other than credit card for the debit order
soon, in the mean time if that is what you prefer send us an email with all the details and we
will set it up.

We are also looking into EFT transfers and we will keep you posted on the matter.

At first i thought it was a mac issue so i wrote my own little prog to tunnel me, same issue, i then tried windows, and had the same problems as well. I have noticed that.

I would be able to run aorund WoW and then there would be no NPC's or mobs. Now playing on my normal connection I would freeze and bomb out. But currently when that happens I need to kill everything and reconnect, re-open WoW from scratch again. Is this because of Gamemax or ?

I've tried GameMax for about a day or two on my VC 3G after having some serious latency problems for the past month but there was absolutely no change, might work better on DSL but on my 3G it was useless.

For me Gamemax has been stable since Nov/Dec. I leveled from 70 - 80 and have raided Naxx 25 man regularly with a great latency.

Just a question to you lot; Have you actually reported these problems, or have these problems "all the sudden" arisen due to this thread? Have you even taken into account that the all WoW servers have in the past had and still have huge lag issues?

If you read the thread you will notice that only now we have come to the conclusion that it was Gamemax and not our connections. Also note, most people here admitted that they only used it for a week or 2 not the full trial period due to this.

I have not even been using it for a week yet. But since I now know it's gamemax causing my lag spikes I will not continue using them.

To each his own I guess. I would gladly pay for it at R 49 a month I said so. And if that was the case I would gladly help inprove the service with feedback. R 69 is to much for a service we don't really need.

I would continue to pay, but have a few concerns.

I recently started using windows 7 64bit beta (works great btw), but Sockscap does not work with Vista or W$7. I emailed the support and they said I should start using Proxycap, but to use this product, you need to buy it (same as Proxifier).

Sorry, but I'm not going to pay R69 per month and then a further $30 (R308!!!!) to play. Either gamemax gets a solution for all platforms or I don't use them.

I guess I'm back to playing with a 500ms+ latency

If you want to charge for a service, you need to at least be open to critisism. Saying you are charging to much is just that. Now go rethink your pricing and come to the floor with a better offer

I can get the same lower pings through a normal SOCKS proxy SSH bla bla bla. I liked the idea of using Gamemax as it's SA specific. But seeing that you guys are being so touchy about it.... stick Gamemax up your arse for all I care.

Don't believe me... I'll gladly PM my account name to someone from Gamemax to see how much I used it. And I will not pay R 69 for the amount of time I used it....
