Hi, I'm a proud owner of a gaming laptop the Toshiba Qosmio X770-107. Bought it last year in October and it's a beast I can paly almost any game on 1080p full settings and the laptop has Nvidia 3D Vision hehe. I absolutely love a laptop as the is no big hustles when going to LANs or moving it around. I would say yes it's the time to buy one.
